SOCHI, November 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his speech at the plenary session of the 21st annual Valdai International Discussion Club, confirmed Moscow's positions on a wide range of world issues and signaled to Washington the possibility of contacts, an expert told TASS.
"The president, first of all, signaled to the United States that he is open to interaction. The president even congratulated the 47th president of the United States in his speech," Alexander Dynkin, president of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations and an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said. "This is a general signal of peace. But he [Putin] reiterated our positions on relations with China, with India, and on the Middle East crisis," the expert pointed out.
According to him, the Russian leader gave his assessment "on all key issues of the international agenda." "I am not sure if any other leader is capable of such a presentation [of an opinion on all key issues of the international agenda]," Dynkin pointed out.
