Number of injured in drone attack on Russian region of Tatarstan rises to 13

KAZAN, April 2. /TASS/. The number of people injured in a drone attack on Yelabuga in Russia’s Tatarstan has risen to 13, with eight people hospitalized, the press service of the regional Health Ministry told TASS.

"As of 1:00 p.m. Moscow time [11:00 a.m. GMT], 13 people, students, including two minors, were injured after the explosion as a result of the drone attack in the Yelabuga facilities. All of them were taken to the Yelabuga central regional hospital. After treatment and diagnostic measures, five of them were released for outpatient treatment. Eight people were hospitalized, they are in good and stable condition, there is no threat to life, all necessary medical care is being provided," the source said.

Earlier, 12 people were reported injured.

On the morning of April 2, drones attacked several enterprises in the Tatarstan cities of Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk. According to the press service of the regional head of Tatarstan, the affected enterprises’ operations were not disrupted and no serious damage was incurred. The injured are receiving all necessary medical care.
