MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. The Kremlin has paid attention to Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina’s return from the ISS (the International Space Station) on an American spacecraft, as every Russian trip to space is important, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

He pointed out that at this point, he could not answer the question whether Kikina’s flight would be celebrated in some special way. "We have undoubtedly taken note [of her flight], of course, this issue is more the domain of Roscosmos," the spokesman explained.

Speaking about Russian flights into space in general, he stressed: "Every time is, of course, a very big event. And we closely monitor all our compatriots who go into space and return from space."

The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft with the Crew-5 mission landed on March 12 in the Gulf of Mexico near the US state of Florida. The Crew-5 mission had been in orbit for over five months. Kikina was the first Russian cosmonaut to travel to the ISS on the Crew Dragon spacecraft as part of the joint NASA-Roscosmos cross-flight program.
