Russia to present Sula space monitoring radar at IDEX Exhibition — company

The radar enables tracking space debris and other objects on the orbit at the range up to 6,000 km

MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. Radars of different purpose, including the Sula space monitoring radar, will be presented at the IDEX-2023 in Abu Dhabi, Rosoboronexport company said on Thursday.

"Radars of different purpose will be displayed at the IDEX-2023, including unique developments of Russian designers: the Sula space objects monitoring radar, the Gamma-DE medium and high altitude radar, and the Kasta-2E2 small altitude radar," the company said.

The radar enables tracking space debris and other objects on the orbit at the range up to 6,000 km, Almaz-Antey holding said. "The Sula’s specific feature is small sizes of the antenna curtain and the sectional-modular principle of architecture, enabling to deploy the radar in-situ and move it by rail. The station is controlled from a command and computation center made in a prefab module," the Holding added.

Visitors will also be able to see the P-18-2 Prima radar capable of efficiently detecting modern and perspective targets with the small footprint, including stealth aircraft.
