TOLYATTI, March 3. /TASS/. Serial production of the brand-new Lada Vesta model was launched at Avtovaz’s facility in the Russian city of Tolyatti on March 3, a TASS correspondent reports from the launch ceremony.

The company plans to start delivering cars to over 300 dealerships in May 2023, according to files provided by Avtovaz’s press service.

"Lada’s best-in-class, brand-new Vesta will again appear in the showrooms of our dealerships as early as May and will take its rightful place as the leader on the Russian auto market," President of Avtovaz Maksim Sokolov was quoted as saying.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov noted that Avtovaz sped up import substitution of the component base after the withdrawal of foreign companies. "Last year alone, domestic suppliers were found for over 200 components and materials," Manturov was quoted as saying.
