Germany does not know details of sanctions against Gazprom Germania

The government and the Federal Network Agency, as the trustee of Gazprom Germania, are taking the necessary measures and are preparing for various scenarios, the statement said

BERLIN, May 12. /TASS/. The Federal Network Agency of Germany took note of energy companies, including ex-subsidiary of Gazprom, Gazprom Germania, being included in the retaliatory sanctions list of Russia, but does not yet know the details, representative of the regulator told TASS.

"We still do not have information on the type of sanctions. The government and the Federal Network Agency, as the trustee of Gazprom Germania, are taking the necessary measures and are preparing for various scenarios," the statement said.

"We are analyzing these announcements. We don't have details yet," the German Economy Ministry said in a separate statement.

On March 31, 2022, Gazprom Group ceased participation in German company Gazprom Germania GmbH and all its assets, including Gazprom Marketing & Trading Ltd. The holding no longer owns the St. Petersburg-based subsidiary Gazprom Export Business Services, which is the sole founder of Gazprom Germania GmbH. The Russian holding said that these companies should stop using Gazprom's trademarks.
