Russia’s Team Spirit grabs Dota 2 trophy at The International for third time

The tournament was held in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, August 23. /TASS/. Russia’s esports squad Team Spirit won the grand final of The International 2023 tournament in Dota 2 for the third time.

The tournament was held in Shanghai.

In the grand final, Team Spirit comprised of Denis Sigitov (Lari), Magomed Khalilov (Collapse), Alexey Kosmynin (not me), Alexander Filin (rue), and Ukrainian national Ilya Mulyarchuk (yatot) defeated 3-2 another Russian team, Parivision.

Team Spirit is the first team to win The International three times. Previously, it grabbed the trophy in 2021 and 2023.

The tournament’s prize fund amounted to $3.344 million. The winning Russian team will receive $1.4 million. Parivision will rceive $434,000, and still another Russian team, Team Yandex, which finished third, will get $300,000.

In all, Team Spirit has earned more than $31 million in prize money at Dota 2 competitions.

The International has been held since 2011.
