MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces evacuated over 19,600 people from dangerous areas in Ukraine, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics in the past day without any assistance from the Kiev authorities, Head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev said on Saturday.
"The Russian Armed Forces manage to save thousands of civilians and foreign foreign nationals every day in full compliance with safety requirements. In the past 24 hours, 19,694 people, including 3,300 children, were evacuated from dangerous areas in Ukraine, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics to Russia without any assistance from the Kiev authorities. As many as 439,420 people, among them 91,673 kids, have been evacuated since the start of the special military operation," Mizintsev specified.
"A total of 98,081 people have already been saved from the mayhem created by nationalists in Mariupol, which was done without assistance from Ukraine, 4,183 of them were evacuated in the past 24 hours," he pointed out.
According to Mizintsev, 51,638 private vehicles have so far crossed the Russian border, including 2,276 in the past day.
