Japan open to contacts with Russia — Japanese ambassador

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Japan is open to communication with Russia, Japanese Ambassador to Moscow Akira Muto said.

"Mutual understanding is possible via official dialogues and contacts between people. We are still open (to contacts with Russia - TASS)," he said in an interview with VGTRK host Pavel Zarubin.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin received credentials from 28 newly appointed foreign ambassador, with several envoys from unfriendly countries being among them.

The ceremony was held in the Kremlin. Each of the new ambassador personally handed over his or her credentials to the Russian president.
