The details of the conversation are not reported

PARIS, March 4. /TASS/. French President Emmanuel Macron and Central African Republic President Faustin Archange Touadera held talks on Friday as the African country is building closer relations with Russia, Agence France-Presse reported.

"He met with his Central African counterpart on the sidelines of a summit for the protection of rainforests, One Forest Summit, with the mediation of Gabon," the French presidential office told AFP without elaborating on the details of the conversation.

Relations between France and CAR, a former French colony that gained independence in 1960, have been rocky. A rally in support of Russia and its policy marched across the CAR capital on Friday, with the participants waving Russian tricolors.
