Iranian general threatens to ‘raze to the ground’ Tel Aviv, Haifa — Tasnim

Iran has traditionally considered Israel the republic’s main enemy, along with the US

TEHRAN, June 7. /TASS/. Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces General Kioumars Heydari said that the country’s offensive armaments can "raze to the ground" Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa, the Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.

"On the orders of [Iran’s] spiritual leader [Ali Khamenei], in case of the adversary’s slightest mistake, we will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground," he said. The general noted that the operating range of Iran’s unmanned aviation as well as of the missile armaments of the ground forces has increased. Together with the "smart component" of the new weapons, the combat readiness of troops has significantly increased in order to "respond to thoughtless aggression."

"Nowadays, the offensive and defensive achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran irritate the enemies of our country," the general noted. He expressed confidence that "Muslim territories occupied by the Zionist regime will return to the Islamic world in the next 25 years."

Iran has traditionally considered Israel the republic’s main enemy, along with the US. The standoff is conditioned by Tel Aviv’s policy with regards to Palestinian territories where Jewish settlements expand while over the past weeks, tensions between Arabs and Israelis sharply escalated and the number of attacks and military operations increased.
