MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation at the Munich Security Conference, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
"On February 15-16, Lavrov will take part in the work of the next meeting of the Munich Security Conference as head of the Russian delegation," the diplomat said.
According to Zakharova, in his speech at the conference, the top Russian diplomat plans to outline Russia’s approach towards building cooperation in a region from Greater Europe to Greater Eurasia and towards maintaining international security and global stability.
"Work is in progress on Lavrov’s possible meetings, talks and contacts with a number of foreign representatives. A meeting with the German foreign minister as well as their joint participation in the business lunch with the leading representatives of the Russian and German business communities are planned," Zakharova stressed.
