MOSCOW, May 16. /TASS/. The capital of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Harare, will host the events the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture on May 24-26 for the first time, the organizers’ press service told TASS. The event has been organized by the Russian Culture Ministry.
The project will open on May 23 with a unique photo exhibition Multinational Russia, organized by the Russian Geographical Society. It will display works by the annual photo contest’s winners. The contest has been held for five years and collected the best pictures taken by both amateurs and professionals in different parts of the country. “The exhibited photos reveal the beauty and diversity of Russia and reflect its history and national heritage,” according to the statement.
The State Song and Dance Ensemble "Altai" named after Alexander Berezikov will present a concert program in Harare. The ensemble preserves and develops the traditional folklore of the Altai Territory, southern Siberia, conveying its national flair through seamless combination of vocal and choreographic art. The program features Russian and Cossack folk songs and dances.
On May 24-25, the performers of the “Altai” ensemble will conduct master classes for the young audience titled: “Traditional Russian Dance as the Basis of Spiritual” and “Moral Education and Russian Song as the Basis of Spirituality and Unity of Cultures.”
The events of the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture in Zimbabwe will be part of one of the most popular festivals in the country – the Sunshine City Festival. They also coincide with the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture and Africa Day, which are celebrated on May 24-25, respectively.

The Days of Spiritual Culture is a unique multi-genre project of the Russian Culture Ministry, aimed at demonstrating the richness and diversity of the country's spiritual culture in foreign countries. The tour is organized by Autonomous Non-profit Organization "Russian Seasons" with the support of the Russian Culture Ministry.
