Putin says global healthcare on the brink of revolution, Russia cannot miss it

The entire Russian healthcare system should be organized on a new technological base, Putin said

MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. Global healthcare is on the brink of a revolution, and Russia cannot miss it, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.

"Global healthcare is on the brink of a real revolution, we cannot miss it," he said during his annual State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly.

The entire Russian healthcare system should function on a new technological foundation with its development not preventing resolution of other issues in this sphere, Putin said.

"It is precisely on the new technological foundation that we have to organize the entire healthcare system, at the same time not diverting attention from the pressing everyday issues. And, as we know it, there are many of them, above all, in the primary sector of medical care," Putin said.
