ANKARA, February 21. /TASS/. At least six people were killed and almost 300 suffered injuries in two earthquakes in southeastern Turkey, the Hurriyet newspaper reported on Tuesday.
According to the paper, at least 294 people were injured and 18 of them are in serious condition.
Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency said that earthquakes of magnitude 6.4 and 5.8 hit the Hatay province on Monday night, followed by at least 32 aftershocks. Building collapses were reported in several cities. The tremors were also felt in Greece, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Cyprus.
