MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The names of 23 Russians who were taken from the Kursk Region to Ukraine have already been identified and Kiev is considering the documents provided by the Russian side for their release, Russia’s human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova has said.
"The dialogue continues with the International Committee of the Red Cross and with the Ukrainian ombudsman on the procedure for the return of the Kursk Region’s residents in question. I have sent the full package of documents regarding 23 citizens who are in the Sumy Region today, so that these documents could be used to let them cross the border and return to Russia," Moskalkova said.
The documents are currently being considered by the Verkhovna Rada’s commissioner for human rights, Dmitry Lubinets and his office.
Earlier, Moskalkova said that in the Sumy Region of Ukraine 13 citizens who had been taken from the Kursk Region were identified.
"By now we have identified more persons - 23 men, women and children - in respect of whom we have established reliable information that they are in Sumy Region. We have confirmed data from their relatives. We have documents confirming their identity," Moskalkova said.
She added that among these persons there is a newborn baby, a grandmother with a three-year-old girl, and a wheelchair user.
