Kremlin reviews Putin's international activity in outgoing year

The president participated in more than 220 events in 2024

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has held more than 220 international events this year, Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov has said.

"The foreign policy agenda of our president in 2024 was very eventful. According to our calculations, the president participated in more than 220 events: negotiations, face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations, video conferences and so on. More than 220 events in which the leadership of 54 states participated," Ushakov said.

Putin made 11 trips abroad. He visited Belarus and Kazakhstan twice each. He also traveled to Azerbaijan, Vietnam, China, the DPRK, Mongolia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Putin also took part in multilateral summits within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, the CIS, Collective Security Treaty Organization, and Shanghai Cooperation Organization. He spoke at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Eastern Economic Forum and hosted the BRICS summit in Kazan.

The international program will continue in the coming days. The Russian leader will gather his CIS colleagues for an informal summit in St. Petersburg.
