France wraps up training of new Ukrainian brigade — minister

The brigade is equipped with French weapons

PARIS, November 14. /TASS/. Ukrainian soldiers that will make up a brigade equipped with French weapons are completing their training at a military base in France, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said.

"The training of the Anne of Kiev Brigade is coming to an end in eastern France. The French president has made a commitment: Our troops are training and equipping the Ukrainian brigade. Together with Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, we watched their final exercises," he wrote on X.

French President Emmanuel Macron earlier published footage of how the Ukrainian soldiers were training, pledging to train a full-size Ukrainian brigade and equip it with French weapons. Paris plans to provide the 155th brigade with 128 VAB armored personnel carriers, 18 Caesar self-propelled artillery systems, 18 AMX-10 RC light wheeled tanks, 20 Milan anti-tank missile systems and 10 TRM military trucks.
