MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. Over 10 people may be still trapped inside the burning Central Research Institute of the Aerospace Defense Forces in the Russian city of Tver, a source in the local emergencies service told TASS on Thursday.
The source stated earlier that seven people were killed and 25 sustained injuries in the fire at the scientific research facility. He also said that some 30 members of the research staff had been rescued from the fire.
The press service of the local administration announced later in a statement that six people were killed and at least 27 were injured.
According to earlier reports, some people suffered injuries caused by fumes, while others received injuries after jumping out of windows to escape the fire.
The blaze erupted on a second floor of the building and then engulfed the area of about 1,000 square meters. According to preliminary reports, a short circuit failure was the cause behind the reported incident.
