Russia boost LNG supplies to Europe by 5% in 2M 2025 — analytical center

The European Union imported 3.92 bln cubic meters of Russian LNG in January - February 2025, compared to 3.74 bln cubic meters a year earlier

MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Supplies of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the European Union gained 5% annually from the year start and climbed to almost 4 bln cubic meters, according to data of Bruegel, a European analytical center.

The European Union imported 3.92 bln cubic meters of Russian LNG in January - February 2025, compared to 3.74 bln cubic meters a year earlier. In particular, deliveries of Russian LNG to Europe in February totaled 1.86 bln cubic meters (1.68 bln cubic meters in February 2024).

LNG deliveries to the EU from the US and Trinidad and Tobago dropped by 19% month on month in February to 5.38 bln cubic meters. In January - February, European imports from these countries gained 6% to 12 bln cubic meters.

LNG supplies to Europe from Africa and the Middle East totaled 3.3 bln cubic meters and 2.2 bln cubic meters respectively in the first two months of this year.

Total European LNG imports gained 7% from the year start to 22.3 bln cubic meters.
