Russia remains integral part of global economic system — Putin

The President noted that Russia remained open to constructive interaction with all partners who shared the principles of mutual respect and were ready to build honest long-term relations

MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Russia has been and remains an integral part of the global economic system, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed in a message to participants, organizers, and guests of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"I would like to emphasize that Russia has always been, and remains, an integral part of the global economy. We are open to constructive cooperation with all partners who share the principles of mutual respect and are ready to develop fair and long-term relations. Together with our colleagues, we remain actively engaged in multilateral institutions, including the United Nations and its specialized agencies, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the presidency of which Russia assumed on January 1, 2026," the message published on the Kremlin website said.

Putin noted that Russia remains open to constructive interaction with all partners who share the principles of mutual respect and are ready to build honest long-term relations.

He added that pragmatism and equal dialogue are becoming especially important at a time of unprecedented challenges facing international relations and economic ties.

"At a time when international relations and economic ties are plagued by unprecedented challenges, fragmentation, and disruption of supply and technological chains, pragmatism and a dialogue based on equality are particularly relevant and needed," he said.
