MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Russia is inviting investors from friendly countries to its stock market, with Moscow welcoming incoming capital flows, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the 15th VTB Russia Calling! Investment Forum.
"Certainly, we are also inviting investors from friendly countries to our stock market. As I’ve repeatedly stated, Russia is part of the global economy, and we do welcome incoming capital flows," the Russian leader said.
"That said, we are emphasizing domestic sources of financing, so that our citizens, individual investors, will be able to invest their funds and make a profit domestically. Such investments and their profitability will be no less attractive than opening bank deposits," Putin added.
The Russian president also proposed tying state subsidies and subsidized loans for businesses to entering the stock market. "I think that it is quite fair," Putin noted.
