BANGALORE /India/. February 11. /TASS/. Russia plans talks with India after Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jet made a demonstration flight at Aero India show, deputy head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Mikhail Babich told TASS.
"Naturally, talks will be held. Such exhibitions are held to develop into negotiations. We hope the aim will be achieved," he said.
Russia is ready for joint production of Su-57 with India. "Naturally, we are ready for that and believe the Indian partners can always join the project," he said.
Russia is also ready to share combat aircraft technologies with India. "We know which aircraft are designed in India. Some are already displayed here and others are at the design stage," he said.
The Indian ANI news agency said India plans to build five prototypes of fifth-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) with stealth elements in the coming five years. HAL Corporation will produce over 200 AMCA, which is expected to be accepted into service not earlier than 2030.
Babich said Su-57 is the only fifth-generation combat aircraft with daily engagement record. "It is clear for everyone that Su-57 today is the only fifth-generation aircraft which is licensed both for demonstration flights and daily engagement experience," he said.
Head of the United Aircraft Corporation Vadim Badekha said Su-57 is the best in the world in supersonic flight distance and maneuverability.
"Su-57 is the only fifth-generation jet equipped with a low-observable regulated air intake which provides the best in the world characteristics of supersonic distance, flight endurance and supersonic maneuverability," he said.
