MOSCOW, January 21. /TASS/. Moldova has put journalist of the All-Russian Television and Radio Network (VGTRK) Alexander Balitsky on its black list and banned him from visiting the country for five years, the vesti.ru website said on Thursday.
"Earlier my colleagues and I were deported from Chisinau and the incident shows the wish of Chisinau officials to close the information flows," Balitsky said. "Or at least to put the information under control amid the power crisis and major protests, which are underway for several months."
On January 20, a crowd of demonstrators supporting the Socialists, the Our Party and the Civil Platform DA (Dignity and Truth) were picketing the national legislature’s building where the ceremony of the government’s endorsement was in progress. The cabinet was approved within slightly more than six minutes.
The candidate for premiership was not even given a chance to speak about the future cabinet’s program.
