MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, Alexander Syrsky, is transferring not only medical professionals but also specialists in chemical defense to the infantry, Alexey Goncharenko (recognized as a terrorist and extremist in Russia), a member of the Verkhovna Rada, said.
To confirm this, he published comments under a post, where he reported on the failure of mobilization and the transfer of medical specialists to the infantry, on his Telegram channel.
"Not only medics," he quotes one of the people who left a comment. "To give you an example, a reconnaissance and analytical unit of the Ukrainian armed forces consists of 70 people, and an order was given to send 20 of them to the frontline. This is a unit of chemists who had completed their training abroad and were kept on standby in case of nuclear danger." It is similar for all units stationed in the eastern regions. "All support services should send 25% of their personnel to the trenches," the commenter said.
On October 30, independent Verkhovna Rada member Maryana Bezuglaya, who has long criticized senior Ukrainian military officials, said that Syrsky had ordered technical specialists in military aviation to be reassigned to infantry roles. Ukraine’s military leadership also decided to transfer one-fifth of hospital staff, she added. On November 2, the lawmaker reported that specialists from other military branches, including air defense forces, had been reassigned to infantry units due to a personnel shortage. Later, former spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Yury Ignat confirmed the reassignment of a large number of Air Force personnel and medical staff to infantry.
