BAKU, September 25. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived on a one-day visit to Azerbaijan on Monday as his flight landed at Nakhchivan International Airport, the state-run AZTV reported.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met Erdogan at the plane’s ramp.
The Turkish presidential office said earlier that the two leaders would discuss the relationship between Turkey and Azerbaijan and exchange opinions on the pressing global and regional issues, including the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Erdogan and Aliyev are also expected to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline and inaugurate the newly modernized Nakhchivan military complex.
