DONETSK, March 5. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army lacks serious fortifications along its remaining defensive lines in the south Donetsk area, the anti-tank platoon commander with the call sign Panda from the 394th Motor Rifle Regiment of Russia’s Battlegroup East told TASS on Wednesday.

"We have already passed that [complex] defensive line. Farther on, they [Ukrainian troops] have nothing serious left. They lack well-equipped positions, weapon emplacements, defensive structures and trenches. This was present before," the Russian commander said.

Ukrainian troops have no time to fully equip their positions due to the rapid advance of Russian forces, he explained.
