Putin offers condolences to Nepal’s prime minister over earthquake

The Russian president asked to convey his sincere sympathy and words of support to the loved ones of those killed, and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured in the natural disaster

MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered his condolences to Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal over the devastating earthquake that hit the west of the country.

"Could you please accept my deep condolences on the tragic implications of the devastating earthquake in the western areas of your country," the telegram said.

The Russian president asked to convey his sincere sympathy and words of support to the loved ones of those killed, and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured in the natural disaster.

On Friday, western Nepal was struck by an earthquake, with the epicenter in the Jajarkot District, 36 km southeast of Jumla. The US Geological Survey put the quake’s magnitude at 5.6, while the Indian Seismological Center put it at 6.4.
