MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Russia’s Progress Rocket and Space Center will complete Aist-2T, the first satellite for stereoscopic imagery of the Earth, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the enterprise’s press service has told TASS.
"The planned timeframe for manufacturing the Aist-2T spacecraft is the fourth quarter of 2023," the press service said.
The Progress Rocket and Space Center won a tender to build a remote stereoscopic probing system, consisting of two Aist-2T small satellites. The new system is being created under the ‘Russian Space Activity’ state program. The satellites will be tasked with making pan-chromatic stereoscopic images of Earth surface, and delivering the obtained data to ground-based receiving points via radio channel.
