TEHRAN, October 3. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev highlighted the unprecedented level of relations between Russia and Iran in an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) on Saturday.
"The relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia have reached unprecedented heights," he noted.
Among other things, support from Russia helped Iran join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS, Medvedev recalled as he also highlighted the 2025 strategic partnership as the cornerstone of bilateral cooperation.
"Without doubt, the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership brought renewed momentum to the Russia-Iran relations," he emphasized.
