Russian senators to discuss setting presidential election date, address to UN

Central Election Commission Chairperson Ella Pamfilova is expected to attend today’s plenary meeting

MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. The Russian Federation Council (upper house of parliament, or senate) will discuss officially designating March 17, 2024 as the date for next year’s presidential election at a plenary meeting on Thursday.

Senators will also consider a draft address of the Russian parliament to the United Nations, world parliaments and interparliamentary organizations calling for a legal and moral assessment of crimes against children committed by the Kiev regime.

Central Election Commission Chairperson Ella Pamfilova is expected to attend today’s plenary meeting at the start of which senators plan to discuss setting the presidential election date.
