Official: political analysts’ remarks on Kazakhstan do not reflect Kremlin's point of view

"These political commentators in no way reflect the official line of the government, do not reflect the official line of the Kremlin," Dmitry Peskov stressed

YEREVAN, November 23. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov urged people not to listen to political analysts who make ‘extremely clumsy’ statements on TV about Kazakhstan, as they do not represent the Kremlin's position, he said on the ‘President’ program on the Khabar 24 TV channel.

"I can say one thing, that in Russia there are as many political commentators making extremely embarrassing statements about Kazakhstan as there are political pundits in Kazakhstan who are very, very critical of Russia. But this does not mean that it can or should cast a shadow on our bilateral relations," the Kremlin spokesman said.

"These political commentators in no way reflect the official line of the government, do not reflect the official line of the Kremlin," Peskov stressed, adding that this was precisely how any such statements should be viewed.

Earlier, political analyst Dmitry Drobnitsky, who took part in the talk show ‘Evening with Vladimir Soloviev’, made negative remarks about Kazakhstan, calling this country "the next problem" because "the same Nazi processes may start there, as the ones taking place in Ukraine". In this connection, Kazakhstani Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vasilenko told reporters that such statements required an appropriate response from the Russian authorities.
