MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Russia from December 10 to 16 accelerated to 9.52% from 9.32% a week earlier, according to the Ministry of Economic Development.
"Over the week from December 10 to 16, 2024, consumer inflation slowed to 0.35%. Annual inflation from December 10 to 16 was recorded at 9.52%," the ministry said.
According to the macro forecast published by the Ministry in September 2024, the inflation forecast in Russia in 2024 has been adjusted from the previously expected 5.1% to 7.3%.
At the same time, according to the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat), inflation in Russia on December 10-16 was 0.35%. A week earlier, from December 3 to 9, inflation was 0.48%.
Since the beginning of December consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.97%, since the beginning of the year - by 9.14%. In annual terms, inflation in Russia as of December 16, 2024 (according to calculations using average daily data for the current and last year on similar dates) was 9.48%.
