Three civilians killed outside Moscow as drones attack Russian capital

A woman was killed after a drone hit a private house in the Starbeyevo District in Khimki, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov said

MOSCOW, May 17. /TASS/. A drone has hit a private house in Khimki outside Moscow, killing a woman and leaving another person trapped under the rubble, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov said.

"A woman was killed after a drone hit a private house in the Starbeyevo District in Khimki. Another person is trapped under the rubble. Rescue workers and response teams are working at the site," he wrote on Russia’s national messenger Max.

"Two men were killed in the village of Pogorelki in Mytishchi, where drone debris hit a house under construction. Response teams are working at the site. Drone debris also damaged another house," the governor added.

According to him, four people suffered injuries in the town of Istra outside Moscow, where drones damaged an apartment building and six private houses.

A drone also hit an apartment building in Putilkovo; there were no casualties, Vorobyov said.
