Russia, Ukraine are negotiating evacuation from Chernigov — Zelensky’s office

Delivering essentials for civillians in the city is on the agenda as well

KIEV, March 4. /TASS/. A Ukrainian presidential office adviser said in a video address on Friday that Ukraine and Russia were negotiating creation of humanitarian corridors and the delivery of foods and essentials to Chernigov.

"The humanitarian situation there (in Chernigov - TASS) is somewhat strained," Alexey Arestovich said. "It is a subject matter of negotiations with Russia, Belarus, the top officials of partner countries and international organizations. The issue is being addressed. Creation of humanitarian corridors for evacuating civilians and delivering essentials are on the agenda."

On Thursday, a second round of Russian-Ukrainian talks ended in Belarus. The chief Russian delegate, Russian presidential adviser Vladimir Medinsky, said considerable progress had been achieved. In part, Moscow and Kiev managed to agree on humanitarian corridors for civilians. A third round is expected within days.
