MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Gold production in Russia in February 2025 rose by 9.1% compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat).
At the same time, in comparison with January 2025, output surged by 69.1%.
For the first two months of 2025, total gold production increased by 4.5% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, primary aluminum production in February declined by 0.7% compared to the same month in 2024 and fell by 14% against January 2025.
The output of rolled steel products in February 2025 contracted by 8.4% year-on-year, amounting to 4.5 mln tons, marking an 8% decline compared to January. The production of unalloyed steel in ingots and semi-finished products decreased by 4.3% year-on-year to 4.4 mln tons, while also dropping by 6.4% from January 2025 levels.
Pig iron production in February 2025 declined by 3.1% year-on-year to 4.1 mln tons, also registering an 8% decrease compared to January 2025.
