Over 50% online voters cast ballots in six Russian regions — Central Electoral Commission

The online vote on the federal platform started at 8 AM

MOSCOW, September 17. /TASS/. Over 50% of voters who registered for online vote in six regions of Russia (except Moscow) have already cast their ballots, says Central Electoral Commission apparatus deputy head Alexander Obukhov.

"I want to state that, at this point, more than half of voters have cast their ballots under the federal remote voting program. This means that we have passed the load peak, and this is a good sign for us," Obukhov said Friday.

The online vote on the federal platform started at 8 AM in 6 regions of Russia: Kursk, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov and Yaroslavl Regions plus the city of Sevastopol. The online vote in Moscow takes place on its own platform.
