MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee is working to establish the identity of the organizers of the terrorist attack late last week at the Crocus City Hall concert venue in suburban Moscow, the committee’s press service told TASS.
"At present, investigative activities with the accused are ongoing to obtain information significant for the investigation regarding the preparations for and execution of this terrorist attack, as well as to establish the identity of other accessories to the crime, including the organizers," it said.
"Within the framework of the criminal case, including based on the material evidence seized, complex forensic examinations have been ordered and are being carried out. Their results will allow us to reconstruct the events," the press service said.
The law enforcement agency said that its director, Alexander Bastrykin, had held a briefing with the investigative team, as well as the leadership of the Investigative Committee’s main forensic department and forensic center.
The team of investigators presented a report on progress to date in the probe into the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall. Bastrykin was briefed on the work being undertaken according to a detailed investigative plan.
