Motor vehicles production in Russia to grow by 2024 year-end

The output of motor vehicles of all segments will be above the level of 950,000 units

MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. Production of motor vehicles of all segments in Russia may grow by 31% year on year to more than 950,000 automobiles, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov told TASS in an interview.

"We expect positive dynamics as regards the output of motor vehicles of all segments; provisionally we will be above the level of 950,000 units as of the year-end. This is 13% above the figure in the target scenario of our automotive industry development strategy for 2024 and 31% above the year of 2023," the minister said.

Production of motor vehicles of all segments in Russia surged by 16% to more than 720,000 in 2023.
