MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Russian agricultural producers harvested 128 mln metric tons of grain this year despite adverse weather conditions, with good performance demonstrated also for oil crops, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"According to preliminary data, more than 128 mln metric tons of grain were harvested. The incremental growth is also good for oil crops - soybeans, sunflower and rapeseed," the prime minister said. "This is despite weather conditions our farmers faced. The situation was challenging in spring and summer - ground frost, high water and drought," he noted.
"I would like to appreciate agricultural sector workers for everything done for the sustainable development of the industry," the prime minister said. "The government is ready on its part to continue promptly responding to requests of this sector," he added.
