MINSK, November 5. /TASS/. The decision to cancel roaming in the Union State of Russia and Belarus is important, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"Belarusians travel to Russia, Russians - to Belarus. Certainly, everybody wants phone talks and Internet traffic to be in accordance with home tariffs, to which the people are accustomed," Mishustin said after the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State. "We are performing decisions of our presidents, moving step by and step, and take the whole range of important decisions today - concerning tariffs, so that they can be compatible with the 'home' network," he noted.
The resolution concerning the removal of roaming charges and establishment of affordable tariffs for communication and data transmission services within the Union State was signed today.
"Citizens of Russia and Belarus are also very interested in transport communications, especially where border areas are," Mishustin noted. "A number of decisions was made today to organize border and commuter carriage by rail transport," he said, adding that this will "simplify and increase mobility and make traveling easier for the people."
