Hainan launches International Digital Publishing Innovation Association

The event was held at the Hainan Ecological Software Park

HAIKOU /China/, September 24. /TASS/. The International Digital Publishing Innovation Association has been established in the southern Chinese province of Hainan. This was announced on September 22 at the Hainan International Digital Publishing Industry Ecological Forum organized as part of the 14th China International Digital Publishing Expo, the Hainan Daily newspaper reported.

The event was held at the Hainan Ecological Software Park. It was attended by about 300 professionals from various fields, including the video game industry, the book industry as well as music, online broadcasting, film and television.

According to the paper, the establishment of the association was jointly initiated by China Press Publishing and Media Group, Hainan Publishing and Distribution Group and several others. The initiative aims to give new impetus to the digital publishing industry by integrating resources, cooperating with market players, innovating and sharing information. Participants at the forum discussed opportunities for the development of digital publishing businesses in Hainan Free Trade Port, copyright management, the environment and other current issues in the industry through thematic sessions and roundtable discussions.

According to earlier reports, the Hainan Ecological Software Park has initiated the establishment of the Hainan Game Industry Association to develop and establish a publicly accessible technology platform to oversee the computer game industry. In the future, the park will focus on industry projects such as a universal service platform in digital culture and entertainment facilities, an international ecological base for digital publishers, and accelerate the formation of an internationally competitive digital culture and entertainment industry cluster.
