MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. Russia to continue exporting diamonds irrespective of restrictions introduced by Western countries, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters.
"All these restrictions introduced [by Western countries], they affect not only us alone but also those who introduced them," Siluanov said. "Exports of diamonds will continue, yes," the minister noted.
In December 2023, countries of the Group of Seven announced introduction of restrictions for import of diamonds mined or cut in Russia from January 1 of the next year. Restrictions will also cover Russian diamonds processed in other countries since March 1, 2024.
