MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Entrepreneur and former owner of Tinkoff Bank Oleg Tinkov has announced the start of the recall process of the Tinkoff brand from the Russian bank, he wrote on Instagram (banned in Russia; owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).
"I am engaging lawyers to start revoking Tinkoff brand from the bank," he wrote.
It was reported earlier that Oleg Tinkov had decided to renounce his Russian citizenship. "I have taken the decision to abandon my Russian citizenship," he wrote on his Instagram page. The post was deleted the next day. Tinkov later wrote that the post "mysteriously" disappeared. The certificate of his renunciation of Russian citizenship that he had attached to his post is dated October 26.
In late March, the founder of TCS Group - the parent company of Tinkoff Bank - Oleg Tinkov was added to the UK’s sanctions list. After that, family trusts associated with Tinkov got rid of their entire stake in the company, and the Interros Group became the holder of approximately 35.08% of the company's shares.
