MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry is considering transitioning to systematic, long-term cooperation with Mongolia’s Defense Ministry, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Vasily Osmakov said during a working visit to Mongolia.

"As part of this visit, we are considering transitioning to systematic, long-term cooperation between our defense ministries," he said.

In turn, Mongolian Defense Minister Dambyn Batlut said after a meeting with Osmakov that relations between Mongolia and Russia are developing steadily, building on historical traditions and friendship between their peoples. "Relations between our countries are developing steadily, building on longstanding historical traditions and friendship between our peoples, mutual respect, trust, and the principles of good-neighborliness," Batlut said.

He noted Russia’s exceptionally important place in Mongolia’s foreign policy and expressed confidence that Osmakov’s visit would give fresh boost to bilateral cooperation.
