MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. The Secretariat of the International Atomic Agency (IAEA) is turning a blind eye to attempts to intimidate staff at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on social media, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s Permanent Representative to international organizations in Vienna, said.
"This is a highly concerning issue, one that the Agency’s Secretariat seems to overlook, and that is the psychological terror campaign that has been launched against ZNPP employees. Photos of staff members, their home addresses, and even warnings to flee ‘before it’s too late’ are being circulated," the Russian diplomat shared. Meanwhile, he said, the IAEA Secretariat has categorically refused to react to these attempts to scare staff. "Of course, the Secretariat itself is to a large extent intimidated, so no one should expect an objective assessment from it," Ulyanov noted.
For this reason, the diplomat continued, the IAEA Secretariat refrains from speaking out in any way about this issue.
