DONETSK, May 17. /TASS/. Russian forces have extended the area under their control south of the city of Konstantinovka and have advanced in the city’s western suburbs, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, said.

"Russian units are expanding the zone under their control from Ilyinivka in the southern direction and are engaged in fierce fighting near Dolgaya Balka. In Konstantinovka, Russian troops have advanced in the western part of the city," he said on his Max channel.

According to Pushilin, fighting continues in the industrial zone and near the railway terminal.
