Lessons learned in military op should be integrated into training of new troops — Putin

The Russian leader stressed that the special military operation "should be taken into account while outlining priorities for the development of domestic weapons and hardware, as well as the tactics of their use"

MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for using the lessons learned in the special military operation to train Russian troops and students of military academies.

"We need to do more to make sure that the lessons learned during the special military operation are integrated into the training of troops and in programs for higher military educational establishments. We also need to improve warfare methods, update basic charter documents, improve the proficiency of the use of weapons and combat vehicles, and the efficiency of the army command, especially in terms of tactics and tactical operations," he said.

"I would like to stress once again: talented officers, sergeants who demonstrated their skill in the difficult combat environment should be promoted to the command of the armed forces and become teachers at military schools," he added.

The Russian leader stressed that the special military operation "should be taken into account while outlining priorities for the development of domestic weapons and hardware, as well as the tactics of their use." "For instance, high-precision weapons systems employ new aiming methods at the final missile flight phase, which has made it possible to use them against reinforced targets, and successfully. The jamming resistance of onboard equipment of missile weapons has been greatly improved. New methods of accomplishing flight assignments have been drilled," he went on to say. "Now, it is necessary to calculate them in real time against detected targets. This is a top priority task for our defense sector."
