MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. Kiev regime officials and city mayors received order not to allow even a single attempt of evacuation to Russia, Russian National Defense Control Center head Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev said Tuesday.
"Official representatives of the Kiev authorities and city mayors received strict orders not to allow even a single attempt to evacuate to the Russian Federation, which means they simply do not convey the information about the possible evacuation to Russia and the humanitarian corridors being established to that extent daily to their citizens," Mizintsev underscored.
According to Mizintsev, the official Kiev currently has no control over the situation in the country and cannot enforce the implementation of taken obligations. "All main decisions are effectively being made by nationalists and their accomplices," he added.
Kiev has approved only one of the ten humanitarian corridors suggested by Russia to the Ukrainian side, Mizintsev told.
"Regrettably, Kiev confirmed only one route - from Sumy through Poltava and further on to the Polish border - out of the ten routes proposed to the Ukrainian side, namely two from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol, including one from each city to the Russian Federation, as well as one through Kiev-controlled territories to Poland, Moldova and Romania," he said.
According to Mizintsev, 723 people have been evacuated so far along that one route, including 576 Indian, 115 Chinese, 20 Jordanian and 12 Tunisian citizens.
Earlier in the day, Russia declared a ceasefire starting from 10.00 a.m. Moscow Time for the safe evacuation of civilians and opened humanitarian corridors from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol.
