Three Hezbollah militants killed in Israeli drone strike on south Lebanon

According to the report, three Lebanese servicemen on duty at the roadblock and four Malaysian peacekeepers from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon sustained minor wounds in the explosion

BEIRUT, November 7. /TASS/. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Israeli air force has delivered a strike on a motor vehicle belonging to the Lebanon-based Shiite party Hezbollah in south Lebanon, killing three militants inside.

According to Al Jadeed, the attack occurred on a highway near a security roadblock in the vicinity of the city of Saida.

The TV channel reported that three Lebanese servicemen on duty at the roadblock and four Malaysian peacekeepers from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) sustained minor wounds in the explosion and received medical aid on site. The bus driver who was taking the peacekeepers from Beirut international airport to Naqoura where UNIFIL is headquartered was also injured.

Traffic on the Beirut-Saida highway was temporarily blocked due to the incident.

Earlier, an Israeli drone eliminated a Hezbollah pickup truck transporting munitions via the Beirut-Damascus international highway. The strike was delivered between the villages of Jamhour and Kahale in the Lebanon Mountains. The vehicle exploded near a residential building, killing a woman and wounding another two individuals. There has been no information about any casualties among Shiite militants.

On September 23, Israel launched an offensive operation, dubbed Northern Arrows, targeting Hezbollah’s military facilities, carrying out massive air strikes across Lebanon. Overnight on October 1, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a ground operation in borderline regions in Lebanon’s south.
